Link field

A Link field connects a record in one table to one or more records in another, such as linking each order to one customer.

Relationship types

Relationship	Example
One to one	Employee → profile
One to many	Customer → many orders
Many to one	Many orders → a customer
Many to many	Students ↔ courses

When creating the link, Zamen can add a symmetric field to the other table, so a customer’s page shows all their orders automatically.

After linking

• Lookup: show the customer’s phone inside the order.
• Rollup: “total of the customer’s orders” with functions such as SUM and COUNTALL.
• Filter the picker: choose which records can be linked, such as active customers only.

Tip

Link a table to itself to build hierarchies: employee → manager, task → parent task.
